Our Department: Our specialties range from Med/Surg to pediatric care, and this 24-bed department is all about broadening our services. Here, patients of every age and healthcare requirement are in good hands, and you will find space to grow, learn, and innovate.
Medical/Surgical/Pediatrics (MS2)
- 24 private rooms
- Nursing is 4 to 5:1
- Patients include:
- Post–op patients
- GI bleed
- DVT/PE
- Alcohol and drug withdrawal
- Respiratory failure
- Pneumonia
- COPD Exacerbation
- Infectious diseases (i.e. – UTI, cellulitis, osteomyelitis)
- Acute/chronic renal disease
- Pediatrics (Med/Surg)
(Telemetry monitoring, tele-neurology and tele-nephrology available)
Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities:
- Assessment: Provides initial and ongoing assessment and interpretation of patients within the framework of holistic professional nursing practice.
- Diagnosis: Identifies risks to the patient’s health and safety.
- Outcomes Identification: Identifies expected outcomes for an individualized patient treatment plan.
- Planning: Develops, coordinates and updates an individualized plan of care.
- Implementation: Establishes and maintains a therapeutic relationship with patients or families.
- Evaluation: Utilizes data obtained from the patient and their family to evaluate the plan of care.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
