Responsibilities
As a part of Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, Franciscan Orthopedics - Silverdale is seeking a full-time Orthopedic Surgeon – Generalist / Total Joint Surgeon to join our team. This Orthopedic Surgeon will be joining a well-respected team of 6 Orthopedic Surgeons and 7 Advanced Practice Providers. They should expect to be busy immediately as they will be joining the practice of a busy, reputable, retiring surgeon. Our new surgeon should anticipate the opportunity to build an elective general orthopedics and total joints practice, and should be comfortable with community trauma.
Position Highlights:
- 4 or 5 day work week
- Group consists of 6 Orthopedic Surgeons
- 2 Sports/Shoulder, 1 Total Joint, 1 Foot & Ankle, 1 Spine, and 1 Generalist
- Close/collegial working relationship with second group encompassing 1 Shoulder, 2 Hand, and 1 Knee specialist
- Dedicated Orthopedic Center / ORs within brand new regional Level 3 community hospital - Total Joints Center of Excellence
- Avg 4-5 calls per month with stipend for call
- Large geographic catchment / referral base
- Support from nearby major metropolitan area and Level I trauma center
- Excellent APPs to assist with pre-ops, hospital rounding, post-ops, and more
- Dedicated MA and an experienced team of RNs for support
- EPIC EMR

The position is located at St. Michael Medical Center in Kitsap County. It is on the Peninsula where you'll be surrounded by water in every direction, mountains, beautiful landscapes, and fresh air! This is a great place to visit or live for those outdoor enthusiasts. Lots of outdoor activities that include hiking, biking, kayaking, and whale watching! The hospital is on a beautiful campus built in 2020 with plans to expand this year. There are views of the Olympic mountains to the west and nearby walking & hiking trails. Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Board Certification or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
Preferred Qualifications:
- Unrestricted WA State Medical License
- Fellowship training or career experience in Total Joints, ability and interest in managing community trauma and general orthopedics
- Current WA DEA certificate required prior to start date
- Training or Experience in EPIC EMR
