Summary
The Clinical Research Assistant helps investigators and coordinates proper clinical trial recruitment, participant screening, and participant visit intake.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinates participants for trial screening and ensures complete and proper execution of the protocol schedule of assessments and data entry.
- Assists in participants’ recruiting using proper regulatory approved documents and recruitment procedures; schedules prescreening and screening activities, and prepares review of inclusion/exclusion criteria for participant eligibility, per protocol.
- Maintains current potential participants list in accordance with OHRPP, IRB, ICH/GCP, and other applicable regulations.
- Tracks participants' progress in the study, prepares and manages participant study binders, following proper completion of source document worksheets, and ensures PI/Sub-I complete their tasks for each visit.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Clinical Research Coordinator/Research Assistant, CRC/CCRC
- Experience in venipuncture
- Associates/Bachelors or other college degree preferred
- Familiarity with Electronic Health Record System preferred
- Working knowledge of clinical research policies and guidelines set forth by FDA, NIH, HRPP, ICH/GCP.
