Description
Children’s is seeking a Pediatric Psychologist with experience in treating behavioral health needs in children and adolescents as well as their families. This position will be primarily outpatient and will work closely with our neurology team to treat patients diagnosed with epilepsy, PNES, and neuropsychiatric conditions. There also will be opportunity to accept referrals from other medical subspecialties within our hospital system, providing consultation, assessment, and behavioral health interventions related to coping/adjustment, physical symptom management, adherence, comorbid mood and anxiety symptoms, and other behavioral health concerns impacting care and quality of life for youth with chronic health conditions and behavioral health needs. The ideal psychologist will have experience in the assessment and treatment of somatic symptoms and behavioral health needs. Experience with patients diagnosed with neurological conditions is preferred. Outpatient services will occur in co-located and integrated care clinics in addition to the psychologist maintaining a case load of outpatients receiving individual behavioral health treatment. The successful candidate will have experience with evidence-based assessment and treatment including diagnostic interviewing, behavioral and cognitive-behavioral interventions for the treatment of physical symptoms, working with families, and multidisciplinary treatment.
