Location
Our client is located in Palmdale, CA which is also considered the “Gateway to the Antelope Valley” because of its outdoor wide-open spaces, recreational activities, and stargazing. Due to its diverse landscapes with deserts and mountains, Palmdale has also been the backdrop for many movies and TV shows over the years. This city also has a huge passion for renewable energy so you’ll expect to see wind farms throughout this city. For entertainment lovers, they have their iconic amphitheater which hosts concerts, performances, and community events. This is a great location for all those outdoor fans and citygoers looking for that perfect balance.
Practice Overview
At their hospital, the goal is to never work alone. They will always have the support of 3-5 staff members per doctor. Being a multi-doctor practice, mentorship is not only important to them but very accessible to anyone who needs it. They pride themselves on teamwork and professionalism but they also know how to have fun whilst hard at work. They offer the opportunity for partnership and expect a team player mentality always. They offer top-of-line equipment such as smart digital radiology, a full IDEXX suite in-house and a reference lab, in-house cytology, ultrasound, echocardiogram, CT, and digital dental radiographs. If there is something they don’t have and you want to learn more, they will provide you with the resources needed.
What You’ll Be Working On
- Build and maintain client relationships
- Diagnose, treat, and manage a variety of small animal cases
- Perform general surgeries as well as dental procedures
- Maintain a high level of quality and consistency in patient care
- Guide and utilize exceptional support staff
- Maintain a positive work environment and promote teamwork
Qualifications
- Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from an accredited school required
- Licensed or able to become licensed in the state of California
- 1-3 years experience preferred, new grads are encouraged to apply!
- Highly skilled in surgery (i.e., dental procedures as well as spays and neuters)
- Experience working with small animals
- Demonstrated commitment to providing a high level of care and service
- Motivation to acquire new skills and expand one's knowledge base.
- Demonstrating a collaborative spirit and providing support to fellow team members
