We are seeking an inpatient Nurse Practitioner for our Oncology Division. With demonstrated nursing expertise in pediatric oncology, the Nurse Practitioner will function in an advanced practitioner role as a clinical expert in the management of pediatric oncology patients within a family-centered care environment.
Under the direction of the attending and practicing within developed standardized procedures and process protocols, the Nurse Practitioner will evaluate, diagnose, and treat oncology patients in an inpatient setting. Central to the role, the Nurse Practitioner will assist in developing and implementing plans of care for all patients on the oncology floor. The Nurse Practitioner functions in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary oncology team while also providing consultation and education to patients and their families.
The successful candidate will be a California licensed and certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with at least two years of bedside nursing experience in direct pediatric oncology care. The candidate must demonstrate excellent communication skills. At least one year of clinical pediatric Nurse Practitioner experience is desired but not mandatory.
