Job Description:
- Conduct psychological assessments, including cognitive, behavioral, and emotional evaluations, to identify student needs and inform educational planning.
- Develop and implement intervention plans to address academic, behavioral, and emotional challenges. Provide individual and group counseling to students as needed.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to provide guidance on educational and behavioral strategies. Offer professional development to staff on psychological topics.
- Participate in crisis response efforts, offering support and guidance in situations involving student distress, trauma, or emergency.
- Contribute to the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs. Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, including special education staff, school counselors, and other school personnel, to support student development.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of student assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
- Ensure adherence to ethical standards and school policies, as well as federal and state regulations
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctorate in School Psychology or a related field
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist in PA
- Experience working with children and adolescents in an educational setting
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards
- Must be comfortable using a computer
- Must be able to complete documentation to school district standards
- Current clearances (within 6 months)
