Position Information
The Director of the Highlander One-Stop is a key leadership role reporting directly to the Associate Vice Chancellor of Enrollment Services, responsible for providing integrated student services related to Financial Aid, Student Accounts, Registrar, Undergraduate Admissions, and Summer Sessions with future consideration to expand the service model to include other key campus departments. This position requires a dynamic and strategic individual who can drive student success by streamlining administrative processes, providing exceptional customer service, and fostering collaboration among various departments. The Director will play a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for students from admission through graduation, contributing to the overall success and retention of students.
Minimum Requirements
- Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
- Must successfully complete a background check through the University's background check agency prior to your start date, and a fingerprint check through the Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigations.
- Occasional travel for university related business meetings, conferences and/or professional development.

Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. Required.
Experience

8 - 13 years of related experience. Required. Previous supervisory/managerial experience. Preferred.

Additional Information
Knowledge of common University-specific computer application programs and knowledge of University and departmental principles and procedures involved in risk assessment and evaluating risks as to likelihood and consequences.
Background in admissions, financial aid, registrar, and student billing.
Demonstrated leadership experience in managing teams and fostering a collaborative work environment.
Strong understanding of student success initiatives, retention strategies, and best practices in higher education.
Proficiency in data analysis and utilization of technology to enhance operational efficiency.
Knowledge of relevant regulations, compliance, and legal requirements within higher education administration.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and adapt to changing circumstances.
Demonstrated ability to lead a department through change, including the integration of new student services and continual evaluation and enhancement of business processes.
Professional and collaborative communication style inclusive of networking and relationship development. Sound philosophy of team development, strategic visioning and execution, inclusivity and understanding of people from many diverse backgrounds, creative problem-solving skills, and strong work ethic.
