Position Summary:
The Program Manager of Health, Wellness & Accountability is primarily responsible for the oversight of collegiate chapter incident management from the investigative process through follow-up harm reduction education. Additionally, this role provides chapter support for crisis response, university compliance, and overall risk mitigation prevention efforts.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Build relationships with volunteers, host institutions, and key individuals within each chapter.
- Proactively monitor collegiate chapters to ensure they meet their Alpha Phi obligations and adhere to Alpha Phi policies and procedures.
- Respond promptly and thoroughly to communications from volunteers and staff requesting information and assistance.
- Support collegiate chapters on special disciplinary statuses.
- Assist and coach volunteers and officers in the mediation of conflict and management of risk.
- Serve in rotation to respond to 24 x 7 emergency hotline.
- Develop and facilitate training on operations and risk reduction.
- Represent the Fraternity at professional conferences such as AFA.
- Conduct risk management investigations and follow-up visits to chapters as needed.
- Track the completion of chapter sanctions, current trends, and educational needs.
- Develop risk management educational sessions for individual chapters and Fraternity conferences.
- Maintain knowledge and understanding of national risk management and judicial trends and approaches within the higher education field.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications:
- Minimum two years of recent hands-on experience with Alpha Phi collegiate chapters, preferably with multiple collegiate chapters of different sizes and cultures.
- Experience working in a non-profit service environment working with volunteers.
- Experience in Fraternity/Sorority advising or student conduct preferred.
- Project management and/or process improvement experience.
- Comfortable presenting in front of large groups.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments.
- Able to work independently with minimal guidance.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to multi-task, work well under pressure, and meet deadlines.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds at times.
- Travel: 20%.
