Overview
Monitors drug therapy to improve patient outcome and quality of care, recommends rational and cost-effective pharmacotherapeutic alternatives and provides accurate and efficient medication distribution. Implements and evaluates nutritional support and pharmacokinetic regimens. Supervises pharmacy technical staff.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor degree in pharmacy or doctor of pharmacy degree from an accredited university with license to practice pharmacy in Alabama required; completion of post graduate pharmacy residency or equivalent clinical experience strongly preferred. Proof of current AHA BLS must be provided or obtained by the end of the orientation period. Experience: Completion of post graduate pharmacy residency or equivalent clinical practice strongly preferred.Additional Skills/Abilities:Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly. Must be proficient in mathematics.
