Overview:
Plans, directs and supervises all technical aspects for the cardiology services departments in regards to services, programs and evaluation of such programs. Develops implements and evaluates department policy with other directors, physicians and administrative staff. Coordinates the activities of the department.
Qualifications:
Education/Licensure/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required. Master’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred. Considerable experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Experience:
Minimum of two years experience in cardiology with two years experience in a progressive management role required. Prefer one year of department head experience.
Additional Skills/Abilities:
Must possess excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly. Must have knowledge of human resource management, radiation safety and scheduling methods. Must be proficient in the use of a personal computer, word processing and excel spreadsheets. Must be able to reason and solve problems independently.
