POSITION SUMMARY
The Ophthalmologist shall be an expert in all disease, functions and anatomy of the eye. Ophthalmologist will provide through eye exams and routine care such as vision testing, glaucoma, Macular Degeneration, Cataract and diabetic screening, but primarily work with patient with advanced disease processes, traumatic injuries to the eye and perform specialized eye surgery.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated expertise in anterior segment surgery. Demonstrated expertise in Topical Phacoemulsification Cataract Surgery, Micro-Invasive Glaucoma Surgery, Eyelid procedures.
- Demonstrated experience with Laser Treatments using YAG and Argon Laser such as: SLT, YAG Iridotomy, Yag Capsulotomy.
- Comfortable managing chronic conditions such as Macular Degeneration, Diabetic Retinopathy, Dry Eyes, Anterior Segment Disease, Uveitis and others.
- Organizational and communication skills with ability to interact closely with Ophthalmologists in the practice.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal and conflict resolution abilities.
- Willing to work in coordination with optometrists and teaching them.
Required Experience
- Current unrestricted California license
- Graduate from an accredited Medical School
- Completed accredited residency program in Ophthalmology.
- At least two (2) years of full time experience in clinical practice as a full scope Ophthalmologist. Will consider exceptional candidates out of fellowship.
- Evidence of continuing education and self-development to support license requirements
