Location
Our client serves the greater Phoenix region with locations in Chandler, Mesa, and North Valley. You’ll appreciate their mild winters, proximity to nature, great neighborhoods, and pro-sports teams to cheer on too. For those of you who love learning the history of a region, they have many native crafts, art galleries and museums. If you are an outdoor recreation enthusiast, there are a variety of outdoor activities from hiking, bike riding and climbing to explore on your days off!
Practice Overview
Originally founded in 1989, our client exists to serve their patients, clients, and employee owners. They are composed of three hospitals, offering a one-stop shop for all their client’s pet’s needs. From primary care services including vaccines and dental care to emergency services for injured or sick pets - they do it all. They have veterinary specialists with training in critical care, internal medicine, and veterinary surgery. Their purpose is “to serve and to heal”, and they are committed to providing excellent client care performed with compassion and integrity. Their collaborative team is focused on growth and helping others which are the foundations that led to them becoming AAHA accredited, Fear-Free Certified, and a Gold Level Cat Friendly practice. What You’ll Be Working On
- Provide the highest quality patient care: examine, diagnose, and treat patients presented on the emergency service according to the current standards of veterinary medicine throughout your shift
- Create a treatment plan (estimate) for every client whose pet is examined
- Collaborate with their Specialists and involve them in the care of patients; communicate effectively with referring veterinarians and complete medical records within 36-hours of patients discharge
- Maintain a high level of client communication and patient care; go above and beyond to provide great service
- Maintain a positive work environment and promote teamwork with all team members
- Identify opportunities to teach and mentor those around you
Qualifications
- Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from an accredited program is required
- Be licensed or able to become licensed in the state of Arizona
- Completed a veterinary internship is highly desired
- Five or more years’ emergency experience is preferred, mentorship available for new graduates
- Must be Fear Free Certified or willing to become
- Able to work night shift and some weekends
- Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for continuous learning and mentoring
- Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
