Two emergency departments are seeking an emergency medicine physician for locum tenens coverage.

Shreveport is a city in Northwest Louisiana! While on assignment, you can visit R.W. Norton Art Gallery to see paintings and rare books or Spring Street Historical Museum to enjoy local history!

About the clinician's workday

Both days and nights are needed with 9s, 10s, and 12s. The shift times are 6a-6p, 6p-6a or Monday - Wednesday from 7a-5p, 9a-7p, 1p-11p, 8p-7a and Thursday - Sunday from 7a-5p, 1p-11p, and 9p-7a. A BC/BE in EM or FM and an active ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS are required. There will be 30-day credentialing. The EMR system is Meditech. Travel, lodging, and malpractice will be covered.

Additional job details

Case load/PPD: 19,200 and 25,000 annual volumes
Support staff: 24-41 hours of MD coverage, 10-12 hours of PA/NP coverage
Patient population: All Ages
Location type: On-Site
Prescriptive authority required: Yes
