We are seeking a Vascular Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist to be a part of our interventional Imaging team at M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center - East Bank in Minneapolis!
This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus starting at $6,000!
The Interventional Radiology Technologist II assists physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided vascular procedures, including angioplasty, stenting, thrombolysis, and more. Using sophisticated fluoroscopic equipment, you’ll be responsible for capturing images of the blood vessels post processing images.
Schedule: FTE 0.8, 64 hours per pay period. 8-hour, day shifts, including a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities
- The IR Tech II will perform procedures with technical accuracy in a timely manner.
- Position patients, as required to achieve quality diagnostic images, according to departmental protocol.
- Scrubbing in to assist provider with wire handling, device deployment, and ancillary equipment usage.
- Ensure proper patient identification on all images.
- Know procedural appropriate supplies and related charges.
- Demonstrates proper sterile technique.
- Provide appropriate patient care during imaging procedures.
- Maintain rooms and properly operate and care for imaging equipment.
- Communication with patients, families, staff, peers, and supervisor.
- Participate in the orientation and training of new employees and students.
- Participates in the departmental quality assurance and quality improvement plan, following all appropriate protocols.
- Perform duties in a safe and responsible manner following appropriate radiation safety policies, general safety protocols, infection control standards, and emergency preparedness protocols.

Qualifications
Required:
- AA/AS in Radiologic Technology.
- 0-1 year in Radiology or Interventional Radiology.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification.
Preferred:
- BA/BS Radiologic Technologist.
- 1-3 years Intervention Radiology experience.
- Vascular Interventional (VI), Cardiac and Vascular (CV) or equivalent certification.
