Position Highlights:
- Full-Time: 40 Hours/Week
- Hours: Varied; Monday-Friday shifts vary from 7:30am-8:00pm. Rotating weekend coverage. Holidays and travel as needed.

Operates radiologic equipment to produce radiographs (x-rays) of body for diagnostic purposes, as directed by Radiologist, by performing the following duties.
Responsibilities:
- Positions patient on examining table and adjusts immobilization devices to obtain optimum view of specific areas of body requested by physician.
- Explains procedures to patient to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
- Moves x-ray equipment into specified positions and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors such as time and distance.
- Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff.
- Obtains patient’s pertinent history.
- Maintains crash cart.
- Maintains and stocks inventory.
- Maintains OSHA regulations.
- Performs other projects and duties as related to department objective.
- Must be able to get along with others, to be a team player, to accept constructive criticism from your supervisor and be able to follow work rules.
- Reports to lead technologist for work assignments.
- Assists with film quality control. Required to work evening and holidays with responsibility for the operation of the department.
- Assists and relieves manager expediting the patient work flow through the department.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be AART registered or eligible and also IDNS licensed.
- CPR certification.
Years of Experience:
- 6 months - 2 years related experience.
