Location: 24600 W 127th Street, Plainfield, IL
Full Time/Part Time: Per Diem/As Needed
Hours: Various Evening hours. On-call schedule, rotating weekends, holiday schedule.
What you will need:
High School Diploma or GED
Strong computer skills
Ability to troubleshoot problems related to software
IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency) licensure
Must be a candidate for ARRT (R) (American Registry of Radiological Technology) (Radiology) certification and complete the exam within six months of start date
ARRT (CT) (Computerized Tomography) certification required within one year of start date
Current CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association
A minimum of an Associate's Degree is preferred
Post processing for CTA-Perfusion/Siemens experience is preferred
Prior CT experience is preferred
Willingness to cross-train to CT
What you will do:
Operates computerized tomography (CT) scanner to obtain images for use by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies, according to Radiologist's directions and established procedures. Positions patients for procedures, administers injections of contrast media, operates scanners to visualize pathologies, manipulates images for optimal results, and reproduces images on film. Delivers and ensures customer service in all aspects of the job, being attentive to eye contact, facial/body expressions, and tone of voice. Explains procedures to patients, providing opportunities for questions to reduce anxiety and promote trust.
