St. Michael Medical Center is looking for an RN to join our team in our hospital in Silverdale! This 500,000 Square-foot hospital will be the most energy-efficient hospital in Washington and will provide an extraordinary healing environment for our patients with beautiful views of the Olympic Mountains and Dyes Inlet. ResponsibilitiesJob Summary:
This 24 bed critical care unit houses patients being admitted for cardiac thoracic and vascular care. This unit also entails ICU and PCU levels of care. Each private room is large enough to house all necessary pumps and equipment while allowing for space for family support (when allowed). This includes CRRT Impella IABP and ventilators. Staffing is based on national standards of care and includes: 2:1 1:1 1:2 and 1:3.
Essential Duties:
Provides continuous cardiac monitoring arrhythmia recognition and intervention.
Initiates and titrates multiple complex cardiac related infusions at higher doses.
Manages intubated/mechanically ventilated patients.
Manages patients with acute neurological/neurosurgical events.
Manages acute trauma patients.
QualificationsJob Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred.
- Previous PCU or ICU experience preferred.
- Previous Emergency room experience also considered
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse issued by the Washington State Board of Nursing.
- Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS Certification. Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or attainment within six months of hire.
- CCRN or PCCN preferred.
