Psychiatric Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP/PMHNP)
Job Title: Psychiatric Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP/PMHNP)
Part-Time (20 hrs/week)
Reports To: Program Manager
Compensation: $75-100/hour
Northpoint Recovery Holdings, LLC, established in 2009, is a growing, behavioral healthcare treatment platform treating adults with substance use disorder and co-occurring conditions under the Northpoint Recovery brand and adolescents with mental healthcare conditions under the Imagine by Northpoint brand. The Company serves patients with commercial health insurance and is an in-network model. Northpoint has grown from two facilities to fifteen today entirely on a de novo basis with plans to expand rapidly in both existing and new markets. POSITION SUMMARY: The Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner/Psychiatric will provide consultation and direct patient care including diagnostic assessment, preventative and educational services, and medication evaluation and management to the patient population, in accordance with best care practices, industry standards, organizational guidelines, and state and federal laws. As a key member of the Northpoint team, the Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner/Psychiatric will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary treatment team to provide the best possible care.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
- Provide advanced nursing services consistent with the ethical guidelines of the profession and the policies and procedures of Northpoint
- Conduct health assessments of patients with known or foreseen health problems
- Medication evaluation and initiation and short-term management of prescribed medications
- Ordering and interpreting lab tests, as needed, for patients prior to and/or during prescription management
- Consultation to physicians / mid-levels regarding any ongoing medical care, maintenance and disease prevention
- Case management, engage in education process
- Interact routinely with patients, observe behaviors and communicate significant observations to multidisciplinary team as necessary
- Document information regarding patient care and behavior as required in policies and procedures
- Utilize crisis prevention intervention when exposed to volatile patients to maintain personal safety for the patient and other individuals in the unit
- Participate in patient treatment planning and implementation under the direction of the Medical Director
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with established policies and procedures and standards of care
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS FOR POSITION:
- Master’s Degree in Nursing with specialty in psychiatric nursing from an accredited program
- Current NE State Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) license with prescriptive privileges or eligibility to obtain licensure upon hire
- Valid DEA Controlled Substance Registration Certification
- Knowledge and skills in English usage, interpersonal relationships and excellent communication skills

REQUIRED CERTIFICATES/LICENSES/REGISTRATIONS:
- Must hold a current and active NE State Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) license with prescriptive privileges
- Must maintain current and nationally accredited CPR/First Aid/AED certification
