Mammography Technologist
We are looking for a committed Mammography Technologist who will uphold our values of compassionate patient care and safety, while efficiently handling mammography operations. In this role, you will be an integral part of our healthcare team, working directly under minimal supervision to perform mammograms, assist in diagnostic procedures, and ensure adherence to our high standards of procedure and maintenance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet and communicate with patients respectfully and courteously.
- Explain procedures clearly to ensure patient comfort and safety.
- Obtain and document patients' clinical histories relevant to procedures.
- Monitor patient well-being throughout imaging exams.
- Perform diagnostic and screening mammograms.
- Manage patient workflows to ensure efficiency.
- Assist radiologists with ultrasound exams and additional imaging as required.
- Conduct bone densitometry studies to assist in patient diagnosis.
- Ensure all QA and QC protocols are followed to maintain equipment and patient safety.
- Adhere to HIPAA and OSHA regulations to protect patient rights and privacy.
- Presentation of diagnostic and screening cases to radiologists.
- Maintain cleanliness and stock of clinical supplies and mammography rooms.
- Accurately maintain patient data in the MagView system.
- Complete incident reports and maintain records as required.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
- ARRT registration in Mammography.
- Current CPR certification.
- Ability to maintain Continuing Education Credits (CECs).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using medical imaging technology and systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a mammography or radiology setting.
- Advanced certification in other imaging modalities.
- Experience with MagView systems.
- Additional certifications related to healthcare and radiology.
Skills:
- Excellent patient interaction skills to ensure comfort and clarity.
- Technical skills necessary for high-quality mammographic imaging.
- Meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of operations and diagnostics.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple patients and responsibilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Capable of maintaining strict confidentiality in handling medical information.
