Job Summary:

The position will interact with the business unit, program staff, and program management to support project planning and control, variance analysis, and internal reporting requirements. In addition, the Analyst will interface with the FP&A team, program managers, accounting, contracts, and procurement organizations to address EAC booking assumptions, updated forecasts for revenue recognition, backlog, and unbilled analysis on supported programs. Communicating with managers, functional management, program managers, and business managers to provide financial support and analysis.
Job Responsibility:
- Leading financial management, including forecasting, planning, estimate-at-complete (EAC) maintenance, program control and ad hoc analyses and reporting.
- Setting up and maintaining cost control system, monitor and control costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost schedule control system.
- Performing analyses and prepare reports in order to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines.
- Partner with the Program Manager to create and influence the baselining of programs and EAC workbooks. Incorporate Earned Value Management methodology in the support of Program Financial analysis to support performance measurement and EAC/ETC analysis. Supporting the PMO in the Variance Analysis Reporting (VAR) process.
- Working with PMO to prepare budgets schedules and forecasts for contract work and perform and/or assist in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis.
- Provide financial analysis, monitor trends, and be able to accurately interpret the results in support of the Program Management. Incorporating contractual changes into control systems by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines.
- Performing monthly, quarterly, and annual Estimates at Complete (EACs).
- Developing and monitoring program risks and opportunities, such as cost overruns and scheduling delays.
- Prepare and monitor EAC workbooks for percent of completion.
- Preparing and managing monthly business forecasts to give rise to business unit revenue, margin, and cash forecasts.
- Identify and understand the impact of variances to the quarterly forecasts and annual plan.
- Supporting program PMR reporting synchronized with enterprise and program business rhythms and requirements.
- Effectively communicating with leadership and customers regarding financial status, metrics, and deliverables.
- Participating in knowledge transfer and best practices sharing with peers.
Required Qualification:
- 10+ years of related professional experience
- Experience in cost management, finance management, or pricing & estimating
- Experience successfully managing and producing data with strict deadlines
- Experience with financial analysis and/or cost analysis reporting
- Strong PC skills and advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Excel
- Bachelor's Degree Finance, Accounting or related discipline
Preferred Qualification:
- Experience in defense or aerospace DoD contracting is a plus
- Experienced user of Cobra Cost Management System Earned Value Management (EVM) experience and customer reporting
- Strong analytical skills, able to analyze financial data and provide guidance on program performance metrics
- Self Motivated, and able to collaborate, lead, and perform tasks without constant oversight
