Stellar Solutions Inc. is seeking a Project Financial Analyst to provide contract level financial management in support of contract execution. This position will analyze, plan, and understand the assigned projects financial positions, to include invoicing, planning, revenue recognition, and expense tracking. In addition, this position supports actual cost verification, the estimate at completion (EAC) process, variance analysis, and workforce projections. This role will manage the financial side of the project while working closely with the Program Manager and Business Unit management. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who possesses excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Role/Responsibilities/Qualifications
Your Impact in this Role:
- Maintain accurate project financial status reports and statistics using corporate accounting tools and developing project-specific reports, spreadsheets, and projections.
- Execute project invoicing while tracking supporting cost activities and contract funding levels.
- Work directly with Program Managers, Business Unit management, Operation's support staff, and customers.
- Work with finance leadership team to monitor aging accounts receivable balances and support cash collections.
- Support Contracts department with PMR (Program Management Review) document creation and presentation.
- Develop and maintain project EACs (Estimate at Completion) per company guidelines.
- Guide and support the cost analysis process by providing and monitoring trends and forecasts and proving comparative analysis to help drive management decision making.
- Analyze and reconcile contract profitability, invoicing, and account receivables every month; reconcile project cost transactions by comparing and correcting general ledger data when necessary.
You should have:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting and finance preferred.
- Government Contracting experience.
- Ability to establish, track, and invoice contracts of various types (T&M, FFP, CPFF, etc.).
- Familiarity with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations) and JTR (Joint Travel Regulations).
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and timely reporting is a must.
- Ability to meet and enforce deadlines.
- Proactive learning ability, a strong work ethic, and a high level of personal integrity.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and deadlines.
- Proficient using Microsoft Office Products, with a focus on Excel.
Desired skills:
- Experience with Unanet.
- Experience and understanding of accounting and compliance requirements for government contractors.
Minimum Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.

Compensation:
The typical pay range for this position is USD $60,000 - $120,000 per year, total package. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual performance bonus, and a full benefits package including a significant profit-sharing retirement savings plan.
Deliverable(s)
Deliverables will be in the format of reports, spreadsheets, or other documents as needed by the business. The nature of this work will, at times, require a quick response to stringent deadlines and always in a high quality, professional manner.
