GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Senior Analyst will research new opportunities, provide test recommendations, coordinate, and execute alternative acquisition plans for clients.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops and executes semi-annual alternative acquisition plans and associated budgets for clients, accurately and completed by the designated due dates.
- Completes sales plan for the fall and spring alternative acquisition strategy.
- Develops budgeting worksheets.
- Uses Excel to build the budgeting worksheets.
- Imports data from the marketing database.
- Budgets projected performance for each strategy/program based on internal cut-offs.
- Uses internal rate of return cut-offs provided by IMS Management to determine if a program should be completed in the given season.
- Coordinates with various departments to ensure the execution of programs is successful and measurable.
- Serves as the primary contact with outside vendors regarding media buys, price negotiation, printing, and delivery of material.
- presents a summary of results on a timely basis.
- Analysis of sales and profitability, looks at each program and determines if the performance meets our determined cut-offs.
- Researches new test opportunities and provides recommendations to Customer Acquisition Manager and Catalog Managers.
- Evaluate opportunities and make recommendations regarding the scale and profitability of the program.
- Provide results to Customer Acquisition Manager, Catalog Managers, and Business Strategy Teams.
- Provide a summary of results after each mailing.
- Assists in developing print rented list marketing plans, when necessary.
- Participates in business strategy meetings to plan strategy, share new ideas, and analysis.
- Participates in new initiatives as requested by Vice Presidents, Executive Directors, and Catalog Managers.
- Participate in weekly status update meetings with Customer Acquisition Manager.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Possesses a Bachelor's degree, preferably in marketing, marketing research, finance, or other business field.
- Possesses one to two years of the same work or work considered preparatory to the position.
- Possesses quantitative and analytical skills.
- Possesses advanced level knowledge of Excel, Word, and SAS software.
- Possesses good communication skills in both oral and written form.
- Able to read, write, and speak English.
- Possesses above average organizational skills.
- Able to work independently with limited supervision.
- Able to prioritize work assignments in a fast-paced work environment.
- Able to coordinate projects with several departments.
