Student Recruitment Coordinator - Human Resources

Job Summary
Coordinates the recruitment, pool administration, pre-employment procedures, and onboarding processes for Student and Temporary employees at Florida International University (FIU). Collaborates with the Recruitment Manager to develop policies and processes, provide training, and offer consultation on the recruitment and supervision of a diverse workforce comprising university students and temporary staff.
- Coordinates Student & Temporary Employment to ensure tasks are completed timely and comply with federal and state regulations, and FIU policies and procedures. Provides biweekly reports on recruitment activity and metrics, with a focus on measuring service excellence.
- Supervises Talent Acquisition and Management (TAM) student employees and Federal Work Study by overseeing their hiring, scheduling, training and maintaining consistent administration, career development, coaching, and skill building.
- Reviews/approves job openings, applicant pools, hiring, rehiring, reactivations, data changes and pay action requests for student/temps. Communicates with hiring managers and HR Liaison.
- Assists HR Manager with initiatives for the Student & Temporary Employment Model. Assist in the planning and implementation of student recognition programs, such as Student Employee of the Year (SEOTY).
- Manages Student Self Service training for hiring managers and HR Liaisons.
- Addresses system issues and complaints while delivering excellent customer service to applicants, hiring managers, and the university community. Also, aids in system updates, testing, and training by updating step-by-step guides.
- Manages the coordination of large group hires and all university-sponsored/run camps.
- Coordinates calendars for TAM. Oversees scheduling appointments, meetings, and events. Disseminates briefings to ensure fluid communications.
- Manages TAM email and social media accounts. Reviews, responds, and/or disseminates incoming items from Staffing, Twitter, and other media.
- Supervises student support for Recruiters, offering direction in areas such as scheduling, interviews, reference checks, phone screening, search and screens, and job fairs.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of office or related experience providing administrative support, or coordinating functions of an office or department.

- Experience working in Higher Education.
- Previous staffing agency experience.
