Technique Flooring & Restoration is in search of a Floor Sales Consultant. This position is full time at our Killeen, TX Location. 8:30-5:30 PM
Position Overview: As a Flooring Sales Consultant, your role is to provide our customers with excellent customer service and ensure their floor buying experience is a great one! You will manage the entire flooring process for each customer from start to finish. You will build and provide cost quotes for the materials and installation of carpet, vinyl, wood, laminate, and tile. Responsibilities include communicating with customers to identify their needs, reviewing bid documents, measuring the job site, discussing material options, and will use our estimating software to develop the quote and installation plan. Upon customer approval of the flooring quote, you will then coordinate with our warehouse team to schedule installation, provide all necessary information to installers, and order materials. You'll also maintain client communication, assist in the showroom, attend team meetings, and ensure quality standards are met for each project.
Work Hours:
Monday-Friday, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm
Up to 10 Saturdays a year in a rotation schedule from the hours of 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Occasional evenings and weekends required
Core Responsibilities:
Provide flooring estimates (commercial, residential, property management)
Ensure estimates are completed and sent to customer timely (24-48 hours after appointments)
Oversee installations, ensure quality, take photos, and collect payments
Work in the showroom, assist clients, and maintain business accounts
Achieve a closing rate of 65% or better
Handle record-keeping, invoicing, and customer follow-ups
Manage client accounts (new builds, property management)
Attend project meetings and trade shows
Skills:
Ability to read blueprints
Excellent customer service and communication
Strong attention to detail and organization
Problem-solving skills and adaptability
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Teams, and sales platforms (Measure Square, Broadlume, CRM, etc.)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements:
Sitting, standing, stooping, bending, stretching, driving, lifting up to 100lbs, carrying repetitive movements due primarily to cleaning work. All movements must be able to be performed without damage or risk to oneself and others.
Qualifications:
3+ years of flooring estimating experience preferred
3+ years of construction experience
Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record
Ability to pass a drug screening
High School Diploma / GED Required
