Atlantic Health System is searching for a qualified Speech Pathologist for their inpatient Rehab unit at Newton Medical Center. The ideal candidate will have their full NJ SLP license but CFY candidates are welcome to apply. Once hired, the Team member will be responsible for providing a full range of speech pathology services including assessment, treatment planning and therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment consistent with the position's qualifications, professional practices and ethical standards. The Team Member shall also demonstrate accountability for and contribution to program development, quality improvement, problem-solving and productivity enhancement in a flexible interdisciplinary fashion.

Principal Accountabilities:
1. Diagnoses and evaluates adult swallowing, speech and language skills as related to educational, medical, social, and psychological factors.
2. Plans, directs, or conducts treatment sessions according to the plan of care.
3. Provides counseling and education to patients, family members and/or care givers.
4. Reviews Electronic Medical Record to obtain a case history prior to evaluation.
5. Independent completion of objective measurements of swallowing function including MBSS and FEEs preferred, however, willing to train if needed.
8. Maintains records and documents in the Electronic Medical Record as required by law, establishment's policy, and administrative regulations.
9. Attends meetings and conferences and participates in other activities to promote professional growth.
10. Performs other related duties as assigned.
