Overview
The Laboratory Technician 3 position is responsible for providing high quality customer service to ensure timely and accurate specimen handling throughout the respective laboratory sections, including internal and external customers while working in a fast-paced environment. This position provides high-level technical support to the clinical laboratory scientists within each respective laboratory section regarding clinical laboratory specimen processing and testing.
Responsibilities
- Specimen handling and distribution
- Use of Information Systems
- Perform portions of low to high complexity testing and reporting; and/or specimen processing and preparation (as assigned), by the laboratory section; following in-depth training and competency assessment; and under appropriate supervision.
- Customer service to internal and external customers in accordance with CMH shared values and service excellence programs
- Maintains general operations of the laboratory and performs quality assurance activities
- Specimen collection (Phlebotomy and SWCL) in accordance with CMH policies and procedures as applicable.
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree and 3-5 years of related lab experience or
- Bachelor's Degree and 1-2 years of related lab experience

Starting Pay
The pay range for this job begins at $23.02/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.
Remote Work/Work from Home
This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children's Mercy locations and may not work from home.
