Job Overview:
The Physical Therapist provides physical therapy services in accordance with the New Jersey Practice Act, standards of accreditation and State regulatory bodies, and the Code of Ethics of the APTA.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Current NJ Licensure
- Successful completion of all orientation programs
Preferred:
- APTA Member
- CI Certification by APTA
Certifications and Licenses Required (if applicable):
Scheduling Requirements (non-exempt positions):
Essential Functions:
- Assessing the physical therapy needs of the patient.
- Preparing the rehabilitation plan of care based on the assessment that integrates goals.
- Treatment, outcomes, and discharge plan.
- Providing rehabilitation service to the patient as specified in the rehabilitation plan of care.
- Reassessing the patient’s response to services provided and revising the rehabilitation plan of care as needed.
- Documents care given within the Daily Treatment Note in EMR to support the delivery of therapy services.
- Incorporates an understanding of economic factors in the delivery of services and maintains compliance with productivity standards of the department as specified in the staffing plan.
