The Cardio Diagnostic Scheduler is responsible for coordinating the scheduling of Cardiology Diagnostic Services, checking in patients for the scheduled procedure and performing various general reception duties.

Principal Responsibilities
- Maintain the facility in a neat and orderly manner at all times.
- Restock supplies and stress test rooms as indicated daily.
- Schedule in appropriate rooms based on block or open time, ensure time allotments for each case, compose schedule and distribute schedules.
- Monitor needs for each case to avoid conflicts with scheduling.
- Process additions, deletions and changes on the daily schedules with notification to the appropriate provider & staff.
- Attempt to meet the scheduling needs of the patient and physician.
- Maintain Scheduling Guide.
- Ensure confidentiality of patient Information.
- Perform reception duties; answer phones, send mailing, etc.
- Maintain professional behavior.
- Must be well groomed at all times.
- Must control emotions and maintain composure under stress, using tact and good judgment.
- Must adjust to various personalities and situations.
- Comply with the Springfield Clinic incident reporting policy and procedures.
- Adhere to all OSHA and Springfield Clinic training & accomplishments as required per policy.
- Provide excellent customer service and adhere to SC Way customer service philosophy.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
Education/Experience
Experience with GE Healthcare functions, applications and processes such as HL7, CACHE, DBMS, BAR, Sched, AWS, TES, WorkFile and 835/837 for insurance payers.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must be flexible in hours to provide adequate coverage.
- Conduct themselves in a professional manner and follow the Clinic dress code.
- Possess accurate typing and computer skills.
- Ability to organize and meet deadlines.
- Possess good communication skills, oral and written.
- Knowledgeable of medical and cardiology terminology.
- Must have working knowledge of peripheral cardiology equipment.
