Lab Manager
We are excited to offer a pivotal opportunity for a seasoned Lab Manager to take charge of our dynamic laboratory operations. In this role, you will spearhead daily operations, ensuring stringent compliance with both safety and quality standards. Your leadership will be instrumental in guiding a dedicated team of technicians and staff, optimizing our research and development support, and upholding exacting standards in all procedures and documentation. You will play a key role in enhancing our laboratory's efficiency and innovation, contributing substantially to our scientific advancements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day laboratory operations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
- Supervise and mentor a diverse team of laboratory technicians and supporting staff.
- Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration to support research and development initiatives.
- Ensure all laboratory equipment is maintained, functioning efficiently, and troubleshoot any technical issues.
- Develop, evaluate, and implement standardized operating procedures (SOPs) for all laboratory activities.
- Manage laboratory inventory meticulously, oversee procurement of supplies and ensure resource availability for all functions.
- Document all laboratory activities accurately and ensure all records are up to date, complying with necessary legal and regulatory standards.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline is required, with preference given to candidates possessing an advanced degree.
- A minimum of 6 years’ experience in a laboratory environment is mandatory, with at least 3 of those years in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
- Strong leadership capabilities and excellent communication skills are essential for effective team and project management.
- Must have outstanding organizational and multitasking skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality or efficiency.
- Thorough proficiency with various laboratory instruments and familiarity with industry-standard software.
- Comprehensive understanding of and experience in applying safety regulations and quality standards within a laboratory setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (Master's or higher) in a scientific discipline.
- Over 6 years of progressive management experience in a laboratory setting.
- Proven track record of improving lab efficiency and productivity through effective leadership and innovation.
- Experience in setting up new labs, including design, procurement, and operation.
- Publication of relevant scientific research findings in recognized journals.
- Familiarity with ISO and other relevant certifications and standards.

- Expertise in various laboratory analytical techniques and equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues before they escalate.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills to foster an environment of collaboration and respect.
