Shift: Overnights, primarily 9:00pm-7:00am. Flexibility with day/evening hours for consideration. Rotating times depending on shift. Required at least 4 shifts per month, weekends included.

Location: AdventHealth Deland – Pharmacy Department

The role you’ll contribute:

The Clinical Staff Pharmacist supports the mission of the department, hospital, and health-system by preventing, identifying, and resolving drug-related problems to assure patient safety, improve patient satisfaction, optimize patient outcomes, and minimize cost. Works in the main Pharmacy, as well as in patient care areas. Will perform all functions of a registered pharmacist including accurate and timely dispensing, clinical interaction with the healthcare team, patient involvement, and technician supervision.

Actively performs all pharmacy technician functions and maintains active proficiency in:

Standard work parameters
Operational programs
Dispensing and compounding systems
Medication ordering systems

Maintains operational expertise in and actively provides coverage of the technician services provided by:

Oncology Pharmacy Satellite

Oversees appropriate utilization of medication automation, technology, and computer systems.

Accurately interprets electronic records.

Maintains expertise in Cerner processes.

Manages proper and complete patient profile record.

Accurately oversees the management of medication inventories and the preparation and dispensing of patient-specific medication doses.

Ensures accuracy of all medication products prepared for dispensing.

Oversees oral and injectable product compounding.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Bachelor of Pharmacy, Doctor of Pharmacy, or other advanced pharmacy degree.
One year of Contemporary hospital pharmacy experience.
