LSSI is seeking a full-time masters level social worker/counselor to work in their STEP-UP program on the Northwest side of Chicago. STEP-UP is a school-based counseling program that targets students who are struggling in the academic setting due to emotional/behavioral issues.

Essential Functions:
- The School-Based Therapist will be responsible for facilitating referrals from the school.
- Conduct mental health assessments and develop treatment plans.
- Provide individual, family, and group therapy, as well as case management services in a school setting.
- Participate in clinical staffing/IEP meetings.
- Communicate with school social work/counseling staff and complete authorizations for treatment.
Position Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong clinical skills and be familiar with Medicaid and/or managed care.
- Bilingual (Spanish speaking) preferred.
