Hours: 40hrs
Shift: Day Shift, 8:00am - 6:30pm with weekend and holiday rotation
Location: Visiting Nurse Association - Fairhaven, MA

Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Clinical Manager or designee and within agency and department policies and procedures, establish the standards of practice for the Staff Nurse which are based upon the American Nurses Association of Standards of Home Health Nursing Practice. Assess and care for patients with various health problems ranging in severity. Work in cooperation with individual patients, caregivers, and ancillary staff. Advise regarding various modalities to meet patient wellness and illness needs including medication, nutrition, exercise, and technical nursing treatments. Teach and support various positive self-care activities including problem solving and treatment alternatives.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an NLN accredited school is required.
- A Bachelors Degree in Nursing is preferred.
- Minimum one year hospital medical/surgical or other relevant nursing experience is required.
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with various software, database, and electronic records programs is preferred.
- Current RN Licensure is required in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and may be required in Rhode Island, subject to geographic area assignment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) & CPR certification is also required.
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
Pay Range: USD $36.90 - USD $52.64 /Hr.
