I. Major Responsibilities:
- In collaboration with Manager Ambulatory Operations, directs and supervises assigned personnel including performance evaluations, scheduling, orientation, and training. Makes recommendations on employee hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, discipline, terminations, and similar actions. Participates and contributes to any required documentation regarding these activities. Resolves grievances and other personnel problems within position responsibilities.
- Monitors workflow and productivity to evaluate clerical and clinic support staff performance. Takes corrective action to ensure the efficient and effective workflow. Works closely with Manager Ambulatory Operations regarding the training and development of clinical staff.
- Directs patient care activities. Assesses patient flow. Develops and maintains systems and processes to assure efficient flow.
- Performs and or delegates patient treatments. Documents patient care. Works closely with clinical support staff to develop and improve documentation in the medical records.
- Addresses phone encounters and executes appropriate follow through. Acts as a mentor/role model to all clinic staff.
II. Position Qualifications:
License/Certification/Education:
Required:
1. Current State of Massachusetts LPN license.
Experience/Skill:
Required:
1. Minimum of five (5) years of medical office LPN experience.
2. Demonstrated Leadership experience.
3. Ability to coordinate and organize multiple functions and activities in an ambulatory setting.
4. Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills.
Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.
