Community Memorial Hospital is seeking a dedicated Radiologic Technologist. The Technologist will independently perform General Radiography, CT, and DEXA exams. While prior CT and DEXA experience is not required, a willingness to learn and be trained is essential. The role also includes providing patient access support, gathering registration information, scheduling appointments, and performing other related duties in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of Community Memorial Hospital.

Responsibilities- Performs quality diagnostic procedures in general radiology and computed tomography. Respects ALARA standards. Displays working knowledge of job requirements.
- Provide support to Community Memorial Hospital through gathering registration information, answer phone, greet and direct patients. Adapt to changes in job requirements and the work environment. Ability to collaborate with diverse individuals and perform under pressure.
- Responsible for contacting patients for radiology scheduling, assisting the dept in secretarial duties remaining HIPAA compliant at all times.
- Consistently productive and volunteers to take on additional work when finished with assigned tasks. Rotates shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by the department.
- Correctly documents required information in the electronic health systems (EHR, RIS, etc). Accurately obtain IV access & administration of contrast media & other medications as required.
- Demonstrates skills to provide care to patients of all ages. Transports patients when necessary.
- Guides students in specific clinical and didactic aspects of their education in a caring manner.
- Equipment is clean, orderly, ready for use; all safety/health regulations and procedures are met.
- Must be able to perform clerical/custodial duties as required.
Qualifications- Certified and hold current registration as a Radiologic Technologist with the ARRT.
- Hold current permit to practice with the State of Iowa.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
