As an Infusion Center Registered Nurse, you will communicate effectively and work cooperatively with others while having respect for and an understanding of other clinical disciplines. To help achieve our mission, you will use an integrated approach toward achieving desired patient outcomes while ensuring improvements in practice settings by assuming responsibility for self-development in lifelong learning. Providing direction and guidance to others regarding practice while serving as a resource, preceptor and mentor is of vital importance. Your leadership skills in decision making and problem solving are essential. Your ability to provide comprehensive patient and family education including information about treatments, medications, chemotherapy and other appropriate items, while keeping patients and families informed about all aspects of the plan of care, is required. Working with members of the healthcare team to provide patients and families with appropriate resources and support is expected.
The Infusion Clinic is open Monday - Saturday 7a-7p. At this time we are hiring for nurses to work three 12's with one Saturday shift per month.

Job Responsibilities

Serves as a role model to others through conduct, communication, mutual respect, ethical decision making, critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Demonstrates role model and leadership behaviors consistently. Acts as a clinical resource and serves as a mentor to healthcare team members. Identifies own learning needs and develops professional goals. Seeks opportunities to obtain education to enhance practice. Serves as a resource and subject matter expert for other disciplines to provide education, guidance and other support as needed.
Requirements
Certification - Basic Life Support; obtain chemo card within 3 months of hire
Licensure - Licensed or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse
Experience - 1 year of infusion nursing experience.
Education - BSN or AD; if RN has an AD, they must complete BSN within 5 years of start date
