Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner - Ortho Spine Surgery - Lafayette, CO

About this role:
As a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner, you'll work with 1 other Ortho Spine Surgeon to provide top-notch care and patient experience.
- You would have clinic hours 2-3 days/week at our Ortho Spine clinic in Lafayette, CO
- The other 1-2 days will be rounding at Good Samaritan Medical Center also in Lafayette, CO and Platte Valley Medical Center in Brighton, CO
- You would work 5 days per week with hours varying based on clinic vs. OR volume
- Act as a First Assist in surgeries with the Ortho Spine Surgeon
- Paid Call is 1:3 weeknights and weekends for the practice

What you'll bring:

- Graduate from an accredited program for Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
- Unrestricted license as an NP or PA in Colorado, or able to obtain
- BLS and valid DEA in state of practice
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a PA or NP in spine surgery to include first assist experience, required

Physical Requirements:
Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies. Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information. Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment.
