Shift : Nights / 7p-7:30a, 12×3, 36 hours per week
Length : 13 weeks
Requirements:
- MD License
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- NIHSS
- Previous Charge Experience preferred
- Electronic Documentation preferred

- We have a 27-bed ED

We have a 27-bed ED. We are a free-standing medical facility so any patient requiring a level of care higher than OBS is transferred out to another hospital usually within the LifeBridge family.
High population of behavior health patients, OD, ETOH, homelessness.
OBS Diagnosis could include: chest pain, DKA, fluid overload, dialysis patients, stroke rule outs, seizures, sickle cell
While we are not a trauma center we do receive patients with stab wounds, GSW’s, etc

Emergency room travel nurses are on the hospital front-lines, which is why emergency room travel nurse positions require a candidate who is able to handle a stressful and busy environment. They are responsible for examining patients upon their arrival and carrying out triage tasks to assess their condition. Ability to identify injuries, signs and symptoms, and communicate their assessment to the physician are required for the emergency room nurse. A travel ER nurse assists in patient treatment and explaining prescription information to patient/family among other tasks and must know the facility and government policies as it relates to patient treatment, transfer, and discharge. Educating the patient and their family about continued treatment at home is another task carried out by emergency room nurses before discharge.
