Full-Time, 9a-9p, 36 Hours Per Week, 2-3 Holiday shifts and Weekends per year
Marshalltown Hospital is seeking a skilled and dedicated CT Technologist to join our team on a full-time basis. The position requires a commitment of 36 hours per week, with shifts from 9 AM to 9 PM, and includes 2-3 holiday shifts and occasional weekends per year.
The CT Technologist will be responsible for performing high-quality CT imaging procedures, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, and maintaining radiographic quality. Key duties include positioning patients accurately, operating imaging equipment proficiently, and manipulating techniques to achieve diagnostic precision. The role requires the use of radiation protection devices and techniques in line with safety standards.

Responsibilities
- Performs quality diagnostic procedures, general as well as surgical, portable, and tomography. Is proficient in CT. Provides and uses radiation protection devices and techniques in accordance with prescribed safety standards.
- Maintains radiographic quality. Positioning of patient and equipment and technique manipulation are accurate. Errors are rare, tasks are completed promptly.
- Assists radiologists and/or physicians in specific procedures, patient care, and other duties as required. Assists radiologists and/or physicians in the administration of contrast media and other medications as required.
- Instructs, guides, directs, assists, supervises, and evaluates students in specific clinical and didactic aspects of their education in a caring manner.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- HS diploma or equivalent
- Holds Permit-to-Practice radiology in the state of Iowa.
- Certified and holds current registration with the A.R.R.T. as a Radiologic Technologist.
- Certified and holds current registration with the A.R.R.T. in CT or obtain CT certification within 6 months of employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prefer 1-2 years of Radiology experience in the hospital environment.
