Execute the Kroger Company’s floor planning process for assigned departments, divisions and stores. Positively and measurably impact the Kroger Company’s sales/margins by providing detailed “Customer 1st” layouts, implementing current merchandising initiatives and accurate planogram mapping on all floor plans; including new and remodel stores as well as any other store changes. Communicate with multiple Kroger departments to ensure alignment on goals and objectives for each category and department for every store.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- This hybrid position will be required to work in our Corporate Office at least one half day per week based on your team’s schedule
- Create and maintain floor plans using JDA Floor Planning software in conjunction with Kroger store fixture prints and planograms
- Provide store, department and category analysis obtained by leveraging the data available from syndicated sources such as 84.51
- Develop expertise in floor analysis to enable Kroger to reach their sales goals and stated objectives
- Assist in pre/post analysis of capital and KOMPASS projects
- Execute every step of the floor planning process to align with KOMPASS and other important dates; develop “best practices” on an ongoing basis and constantly contribute to the process
- Gain expertise in all facets of the grocery industry, especially in those categories or areas you participate, through both internal and external sources; stay current on those issues that most impact floor plans and assigned categories

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4 year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Degree in Business, Statistics or Economics preferred
- 2 years of Kroger space management experience preferred
- 2-3 years of merchandising or data analysis experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience using JDA software; the ability to read and understand floor plans, planograms, and fixture specifications preferred
- Knowledge of the KOMPASS process preferred
- Capacity to learn multiple computer systems and web-based applications
- Strong leadership skills
- Capability to collaborate with others and contribute effectively to a team
- Expert organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Highly motivated self-starter who can work with minimal supervision
- Ability to effectively craft and deliver a message verbally to any audience including senior level executives
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, prioritize and multi-task
MINIMUM PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
- Must be able to:
- Remain standing/sitting for several hours at a time
- Lift 10-30 lbs. occasionally
