Position Summary:Hillwood West is seeking a
Senior Analyst to join its team of real estate professionals that focus on partnering with seasoned developers, builders, and landlords. The successful candidate will be actively involved in the analysis, execution, and management of new and existing business. This individual will play a central role in every financial aspect of Hillwood’s real estate investment activity, primarily focused on development projects in the Western United States.
Responsibilities:- Preparation of sophisticated financial models and underwriting of real estate development, leasing, joint ventures, and capital structures
- Development and acquisition due diligence
- Analysis of complex partnership structures
- Preparation of internal and external investment memoranda related to new and existing business
- Legal review and strategy in connection with new and existing business
- Communication with senior management regarding ongoing project status, variance reporting, and performance metrics
Required Skills/ Abilities:- Professional maturity and ability to lead others, a must
- High aptitude for financial analysis, especially modeling
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Organized, detail-oriented, and thorough
- Strong work ethic and ability to be flexible and multi-task
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Argus competency, preferred
Education and Experience:- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate or Engineering; other business and math-focused fields will be considered
- Undergraduate degree from a highly ranked school, with a strong academic track record
- Minimum of 1-3 years of real estate finance / underwriting experience or prior relevant internship experience required
- Experience with legal documents associated with real estate transactions, a plus
