We are seeking an Accounting Manager to lead, direct, and develop a team of twelve professionals responsible for all laboratory accounting activities; includes banking, inventory and fixed assets, cost accounting; receivables, including Strategic Partnership Project financial administration; monthly financial reporting and reconciliations.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update policies for such activities.
- Evaluate and make improvements, as applicable.
- Establish and monitor key metrics of accounting operations to ensure goals are achieved.
- Provide timely and substantive deliverables for internal and external audit requests.
- Promote organizational partnerships throughout the laboratory.
Position Requirements:
- Experience with complex accounting systems and transactions, solid understanding and application of finance and accounting principles and general ledger management.
- Leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, including the ability to work effectively with others across departments to ensure a smooth process flow.
- Experience being highly responsive, meeting demanding deadlines, and prioritizing projects, work tasks, and issues.
- Strong analytical skills, high accuracy level, and attention to detail.
- Ability to independently identify and articulate problems, propose alternative solutions, solve problems, and drive and achieve results.
- Experience preparing and presenting financial statements and reports, researching accounting issues for compliance, and managing audits.
