State specific pay scales for this role are as follows:
$89,906 to $162,157 (CA, NJ, NY, WA, HI, AK, MD, CT, RI, MA)
$81,733 to $147,415 (NV, OR, AZ, CO, WY, TX, ND, MN, MO, IL, WI, FL, GA, MI, OH, VA, PA, DE, VT, NH, ME)
$73,560 to $132,674 (UT, ID, MT, NM, SD, SE, KS, OK, IA, AR, LA, MS, AL, TN, KY, IN, SC, NC, WV)
The expected base salary for this position will vary depending on a number of factors, including relevant experience, skills and location.
Position Summary
The position will be responsible for developing and managing the MTS budget, forecasting, and completing variance analysis ensuring accurate financial planning and Capex reporting in the new ITFM tool. This position analyzes expenditures, identifies cost-saving opportunities, monitors financial performance, reviews accounting entries, and presents key metrics on the status of MTS financial performance. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity and efficiency of MTS financial operations.
Essential Job Functions
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Develop and manage IT budgets for various initiatives and expenses
- Prepare detailed financial forecasts and complete variance analysis for expenditures and initiatives
- Ensures accurate capital projections and reporting for Capex costs for both labor and non-labor expenses
- Develop financial models through benchmarking and process analysis
Financial Analysis and Accounting:
- Analyze IT expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Monitor financial performance of IT initiatives and provides reporting
- Prepare and analyze monthly and quarterly complex IT Metrics for management team
- Review accounting transactions for data accuracy; providing correcting entries, and preparing monthly accruals
Reporting
- Prepare and present to management financial reports on the health of the MTS department

Qualifications/Competencies
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in an accounting or finance program required; MBA or CPA preferred
Experience:
- A minimum 7+ years information technology accounting/finance experience
- Proven experience with IT budgeting, forecasting, and fiscal management
- A minimum 3-5 years’ experience work in an ITFM tool such as Apptio
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong knowledge of both statutory and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), in particular SOP 98-1.
- Hands on experience with the Apptio ITFM tool
- Requires a high level of analytical and technical skill to examine and analyze complex financial reports, undertand the effect of transactions upon account relationships, and financial problem solving.
- Requires considerable knowledge and efficiency in utilizing MS Office (Word, Excel, PP) with strong skills in creating excel pivot tables.
- Ability to present financial data using detailed reports and charts
- Requires critical attention to detail and good organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
