The Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Microelectronics Center (NGMC) is seeking a Mission Assurance Manager 3. This position will be located in Linthicum, MD, with a portfolio inclusive of the Advance Packaging Quality team located in Apopka, FL, and the Microelectronics Quality team located in Redondo Beach, CA. This position will report directly to the NGMC Operations Director.
The selected leader will be responsible for standing up the NGMC's Quality team through integration of existing personnel across multiple MS Divisions and the Space Sector and implement consistent Mission Assurance principles and guidelines to ensure compliance with Contractual, Regulatory, and Northrop Grumman Mission Systems requirements.
General Roles & Responsibilities (Not limited to):
- Manage Mission Assurance Managers and Supplier Performance Management teams across multiple sites - ATL, Apopka (Advanced Packaging specific), Microelectronics facility (Space), and the Microelectronics Design & Applications P&L Business Area (ATL/various locations across the US).
- Develop and implement a staffing plan that will transition 3 independent Foundries/Mfg areas into a highly effective Center team that will best serve the Enterprise.
- Manage MA and SPM Leadership and personnel to ensure critical process areas and roles are identified and effective to ensure effectiveness and mission success across the NGMC.
- Establish an integrated and executable mission assurance plan and necessary supporting plans in alignment with contractual requirements and stakeholder goals and maintain throughout manufacturing lifecycle.
- Communicate Quality Risks and Opportunities to key stakeholders as well as proactive mitigation plans and implementation.
- Ensure Mission Assurance Management's engagement in proposals during the pre-proposal phase of the BAP (or earlier). Lead MA support for all NGMC Proposals to assess MA content and execute support required.
- Ensure accurate and effective Quality Metrics are utilized and reported. Develop as required.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities that increase efficiency for the Quality Team and the NGMC in its entirety.
- Evaluate Gate Review, Corrective and Preventative Action Systems (CPAS), Intranet Program Review System (IPRS), Supplier Assessment Management System (SAMS), and other QMS data to understand and address systemic issues.
- Drive corrective action implementation through investigating quality challenges and failures through root cause investigation.
- Develop and lead the organization in the execution of Affordability Strategies.
- Manage and maintain Employee Utilization and identify/implement areas of improvement.
- Evaluate and enhance effectiveness of CPAS and RTG actions. Improve Root Cause Evaluations.
- Proactively identify, record, and follow-on to ensure closure of Corrective and Preventative Action System.
- Define and monitor QMS implementation of policies across all sites that are part of the NGMC.
- Ensure all quality management systems are consistent and comply with the Sector QMS and Quality Management System Manual.
- Identify and manage configuration and quality issues across the Center and supply base.
- Ensure proper preparation for AS9100, CMMI, and ISO 9001 evaluations and implement ISO and follow-on requirements accordingly.
- Ensure proper support and completion for proposal BOEs across the NGMC.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 9+ years or a Master's degree with 7+ years of related experience.
- 5+ years of team lead and/or people management experience.
- Proven effective leadership and team building skills.
- Experience in preparing executive level briefings and presenting to executive leadership.
- Strong in Strategic Thinking.
- Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking, and innovative behaviors in past projects, roles, or experiences.
- Ability to lead and communicate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; work well in a team environment; and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively multi-task competing priorities and schedules.
- Ability to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrates ability to drive risk mitigation, opportunity capture, and issue resolution across all stakeholder disciplines throughout all phases of product development lifecycle in a fast-paced, complex, dynamic, and high visibility enterprise center.
- Familiarity with microelectronics products.
- Experience in influencing and driving change in culture.

Salary Range: $156,800 - $235,200
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
