How you’ll contribute:
As a Sr. Financial Analyst, Reinsurance you will be responsible for the administration of the Company’s reinsurance treaties. This includes performing the financial close process, calculating various accrual and settlement amounts, and coordinating requirements and requests related to reinsurers and other departments within the organization.
In this role, you’ll get to:
- Perform monthly, quarterly, annual financial close process for reinsurance entities such as treaty settlement and reconciliations.
- Calculate premiums, expense allowances, claims administration/accruals, cash settlements, and other activities as required for the financial close process.
- Coordinate and prepare various reporting per treaty and financial requirements.
- Develop and maintain documentation of procedures.
- Coordinate various requests from internal and external customers, including team members, reinsurers and auditors, and prepare and distribute data and documentation as required.
- Support system enhancement and conversion projects as needed.
- Perform other related activities as required.
We’re looking for people who have:
- Undergraduate degree in related discipline required.
- 3+ years of experience with increasing responsibilities in corporate finance and/or reinsurance.
- Experience with financial reporting.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, willing and able to work with clients and reinsurance companies.
- Knowledge of insurance concepts, principles and practices a plus.
- Team player who has the collaborative skills to work within project teams.
- TAI administration system and SAP a plus.
What you’ll receive:
- Compensation – Base salary ranging from $65,000 - $85,000 plus competitive performance-based incentives determined by company and individual results.
