The Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce seeks a dynamic and motivated Executive Director to lead our vibrant community of businesses and non-profit organizations. This role involves managing Chamber operations, overseeing events, engaging with the community, and promoting membership. Responsibilities include budget management, strategic planning, event coordination, and acting as a liaison between the Chamber and the City of Leeds.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as the chief administrative officer and manage Chamber business within the budget.
- Supervise work by volunteers and vendors.
- Plan and maintain the Chamber event calendar.
- Engage the business and non-profit community as a brand ambassador.
- Oversee event planning, including scheduling, volunteer recruitment, sponsorships, and advertising.
- Provide strategic analysis of Chamber operations and events.
- Promote diversity and inclusion within the Chamber.
- Act as a liaison with the City of Leeds and coordinate with local authorities for major events.
- Provide customer service for Chamber members and the general public.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in executive leadership, preferably in a chamber of commerce or non-profit.
- Strong communication, strategic planning, and organizational skills.
- Experience with Chambermaster and QuickBooks is a plus.
- Knowledge of Leeds business landscape is advantageous.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
