Job Description:
The Specialist will be a part of the Cyber Rotation Program (CRP). CRP is a best-in-class Cyber Security Rotational Program that provides dedicated developmental opportunities and a choice-driven career path through (2) 1-year role rotations within the Global Information Security organization (GIS).
Participants will receive on-the-job training, enhanced support throughout the program by a Program Manager, mentors at various levels, and guidance on career path through each rotation, as well as placement in a permanent role at the end of the two-year program.
This job is responsible for supporting Global Information Security functions by analyzing, researching, improving, defining, implementing, and executing information security controls and standards. Key responsibilities include developing a deep understanding of GIS specific functions and working on moderately complex problems that require in-depth evaluation of various factors. Job expectations include engaging with GIS teams and business partners to provide security expertise and appropriate management of information security risks.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborates with teams' peers on cybersecurity events or crimes related to information technology systems, networks, and digital evidence.
- Applies knowledge of internal and external information vulnerabilities to evaluate the degree of threat to an information system.
- Promotes awareness of current and emerging cybersecurity threats and advises on potential information security exposure.
- Communicates clear and practical advice to manage risk.
- Identifies and escalates changes that will affect information security policy, standards, and procedures.
- Analyzes, prioritizes, and manages cybersecurity incidents with care and in a timely manner to restore and recover service operations.
- Objectively assesses information from various sources and synthesizes it towards making a reasoned judgment.
To succeed in this program, you should possess technical knowledge with specific emphasis on information security. You should also possess strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and concisely to various levels.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Cyber Security or STEM-related field.
- Graduation date by December 2024 or May 2025.
