Key Duties:
- Compile and reconcile measurement and volume data utilized in accruals, journal entries, monthly settlement and invoicing for the offshore pipeline transportation operating segment.
- Complete month-end close activities for assigned areas of responsibility, including the preparation of journal entries and the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
- Analyze general ledger accounts and monthly financial results for accuracy.
- Create allocation statements and customer invoices for monthly settlement.
- Prepare ad hoc financial analyses as questions arise.
- Comply with internal control requirements and assist internal and external auditors with their requests.
- Gain understanding of the relevant software systems utilized by this role. Troubleshoot potential issues that arise as a part of carrying out month-end close processes with IT personnel.
- Collaborate with other members of the Accounting group, as well as personnel in the Commercial, Operations, and Measurement groups.
- Communicate effectively and efficiently with customers and other external parties.
- Prepare any relevant and required regulatory filings.
- Assist with other duties and projects as needed.
Required Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting.
- Entry level to three years of experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and conscientious.
- Proactive in analyzing issues and solving problems.
