Flexjet is seeking a Staff Accountant Analyst to join our finance team at our facility in Cleveland, Ohio. This position will be responsible for the general financial and operational accounting functions for Flexjet. The Staff Accountant Analyst will report to FP&A Manager. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for accurate and timely completion of monthly journal entries, preparation of account reconciliations, other reports, and analyses
- Assist in the monthly budget to actual variance analysis and other monthly reporting projects
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly reporting of operational metrics
- Serve as a liaison to various departments relating to aid with questions and information requests pertaining to journal entries & financial reporting matters
- Support the annual external audit
- Assist with any ad-hoc projects assigned by management
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; 0-2 years of relevant experience in an accounting role
- Oracle and GL Wand experience is preferred but not required
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Must possess the legal ability to work in the United States
- Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel is required (e.g. pivot tables, formulas, and formatting).
- Proficiency in other Microsoft Office Suite Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Candidate should work well in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Successful candidate should be highly motivated, self-directed, proactive, and have the ability to work effectively under pressure and within time constraints.
- Must be detail oriented and able to work productively, independently, or within a team
- Excellent oral/written communication and problem solving skills are required
