WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
High visibility, critical role in the Electrical & Fastening Segment (EFS) Commercial Finance team, business partnering with product line leaders and supporting core financial processes (i.e., Annual Operating Plan, Quarterly Forecasts, Monthly and Weekly Reporting & Analysis). The role is key in driving predictability, accountability and analysis throughout the business.
- Work closely with the business and finance team to ensure predictable and sustainable profitable growth. Gather data, analyze, and provide recommendations to business surrounding new product introductions, new sales channel initiatives, alternative manufacturing and sourcing initiatives.
- Partner with the Finance Leader and Retail business leadership to develop reporting and analytical tools to monitor performance, track progress on growth initiatives, identify trends and facilitate business decision making.
- Rapidly identify gaps to targets, current and projected and help the business devise plans to overcome expected challenges and bridge gaps.
- Provide financial guidance on commercial contract negotiation including new programs, renewals, as well as assist in harmonization of programs to facilitate ease of doing business and maximize growth.
- Support working capital improvement ideation, development, deployment, and tracking to ensure targets are achieved fueling the growth of the Retail business. Proactively identify gaps and alternative paths to achieving target.
- Identify opportunities for improving financial processes and utilize Lean tools to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of those processes.
YOU HAVE:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required.
- 3+ years of experience in Financial Planning, Operational Finance or Corporate Finance is preferred.
- CPA/CMA is desirable.
- Knowledge of US GAAP and International Accounting Standards (IAS).
- Ability to utilize Excel, Word, PowerPoint and OneStream XF or similar (HFM, Essbase, etc).
- Solid interest and aptitude for and experience with critical, complicated analytical work and creative thinking.
- Ability to communicate and effectively work with personnel at all organizational levels and establish sound relationships with co-workers, executives and field finance personnel.
- Strong work ethic with high degree of attention to detail, sense of urgency and personal responsibility for work outcomes.
